Your gut has a mind of its own

Dear members of Gyrinus,

The end of the academic year is already in sight! This means that the summer holiday is coming again! Yeah, nice! But have you already got your ‘summer body’ or did you enjoy yourself in the Stelling, which caused you’ve got overfed? How aware have you actually dealt with your diet (and therefore also digestion)? Maybe not that much, maybe you did. Undoubtedly the upcoming lecture will help you.

This last lecture of the academic year will be about nutrition and digestion, with the following subject: Your gut has a mind of its own. Peter Klaren will tell an hour about things like: Getting to know the man with the hole in his stomach. See how Pavlov missed the boat and how the first vivisections led to the first animal legislation. In short, enough different but certainly fascinating subjects.

Although the title is given in English, the lecture will be given in Dutch. We look forward to seeing you June the 6th! And afterwards we have a nice meal of course 😉

When? 6th of June
Where? WN-M143
What time? 16:00 till 17:00
Everyone is welcome!
